  • Chairman - Jeff Stephens
    Jeff Stephens is a Certified Public Accountant and partner in the local firm of Le Roy, Cole and Stephens. He is a graduate of Forsyth County High School and The University of Georgia. Mr. Stephens devotes much of his time to community service. He presently serves on two youth Athletic Association Boards and during the last 20 years has served the community in many capacities including Chair of the Forsyth County Board of Education and Chamber of Commerce in addition to serving on multiple advisory boards. Mr. Stephens is very passionate about Forsyth County’s success and believes that a vibrant public parks system is an important part of our community’s future.

  • Secretary - Mary Helen McGruder
    Mary Helen McGruder is a long time resident of Forsyth County and is an active community volunteer with many areas of interest. Along with her family, she has been one of the primary proponents of the preservation of green space and passive parks in our county and is President of the Sawnee Mountain Foundation. She also serves on the Georgia Advisory Council of the Trust for Public Land and as the Vice Chairman for Tourism Development at the Cumming/Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce.
  • Treasurer – Cindy Mills
    Cindy Jones Mills is a 6th generation, life-long resident of Forsyth County and works tirelessly to help make her community the best place to live. She has served on the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation board for over 10 years. Her love for FCPR goes back to when she grew up playing softball in the Matt Community and later coached her two daughters in baseball, softball and basketball, at Coal Mountain and Cumming. Cindy serves on the Cumming/Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce Board, the Advisory Board for the Council for Quality Growth, has served on the Local School Council for education for over 2 decades, and is a charter member of the North Forsyth 400 Rotary club. Her greatest dedication is to her church (Oak Grove Baptist Church), where she teaches youth Sunday School, youth bible study and directs the OG Opry.
  • Member - Kristin Morrissey
    Like many others, Kristin and her family relocated to Forsyth County for its natural beauty, great schools and low taxes. Ms. Morrissey has been an active member of the community serving on the Envision 2030 Committee, the $100 million Park and Recreation Bond Committee, the Forsyth County Library Board of Trustees, the FC Community Connections Board, and the Quality of Life Council. Kristin is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Forsyth and starting 2011 began her term on the Forsyth County Board of Education. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Kristin enjoys hiking and camping throughout Forsyth County and North Georgia.

  • Member - Chris Stovall
    Chris Stovall is a local pastor and longtime servant of Forsyth County. Mr. Stovall and his family chose Forsyth County as a place to start a non-denominational church called LifePoint Christian Church from scratch back in 1998. Community service is very important to Chris. He has focused his attention and efforts to faithfully serve our Forsyth County Parks and Recreation programs. Chris served on the board at Sharon Springs Park for eight years, four as president. During his time on the SSAA board over $500,000 in capital projects were completed outside of the County’s budget. Mr. Stovall also initiated and chaired the Forsyth County Slugfest Tournament which is now in its fifth year and has raised over $100,000 for charities including The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Mr. Stovall serves on the board of the Cumming/Forsyth Miracle League and previously served on the Youth Athletics Advisory Council for Forsyth County. Chris now serves as an appointed member of the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Board.
